I had to start a new drink that I will have every morning. It consists of chunky lemon water, cayenne and olive oil. Sounds gross, doesn't it? But it's not. It will make you pucker though.

I feel like a walking clove. The one thing with raw is that the flavors are very flavorful. For instance garlic and onion. The cloves/slices are organic and uncooked, thus very potent. I'm going to have to buy a lot of Sun Chlorella!

I did my profile for my cleanse. It took about an hour and was really interesting. Anne made me think of how the mind and the body really do draw from each other. Of course, she added MORE things I need to buy. It's quite expensive but considering it's for my health, it will be worth it. Let's hope so anyway. I can't think that it won't do me good. I would think it has to. Guess we'll see.

I am so out of it. I've been sick for over a week. It's made me lose most of my appetite. I did have some Rawvolution hummus today and it was yummy (I cheated and had it with Saltines - there was nothing else in the house to eat it with). I couldn't really tell the difference from hummus I've had in a restaurant. It's nice when the raw food is just like the normal. It makes it so much easier to transition. But, of course, I want a pizza. Is a raw diet with a pizza once a week really that bad? Let's hope not, for my sake.

I've been eating less now. I've mostly been only eating twice a day. The raw food fills me up. Of course, it could be lately that I've been sick. But since I was starting to eat less before I got sick, I think it's safe to say that it's the food. In a few weeks I'm going on this major 9-week detox. It is completely going to suck but it's much needed. I'm sure I'll be complaining on my Blog a lot during those 9 weeks. The worst part about it: I've got to be good!

I got my new box from Rawvolution this morning. I tried the homemade apple crumble. It was good and I only ate half of it. One of the things I really like about Rawvolution is that their portions for most things are fairly large so several of the foods can be split up into 2 meals, maybe more if you've been on raw for longer. I like too that a lot of the things I didn't really like before (i.e. olives) work well with other tastes so I'm actually liking them. Not too bad for a new raw foodie. But I have to report that I did have a Mama's Everything pizza last night. And, IT WAS WORTH IT!

A New Raw Foodie

It took me FOREVER to start on raw food. I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but I just couldn't get over wanting real food. I'd get bored after just a day or so of just eating fruit. For 2 weeks now, I've been having the food from Rawvolution.com. It's chef prepared and shipped right to you. I've liked everything except for 2 things and oddly enough it fills me up. I think I'm pretty well off most foods, but pizza is the bane of my existence. As much as I like the raw foods, including pizza, I just can't seem to give up a Mama's Everything pizza. Will I ever? Sigh!
